NASENI launches N140m prize innovation contest
The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) will on Monday commence a roadshow across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, to mobilise Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) for participation in its Inter-Agency Innovation Competition and Awards.
The Chairman of the NASENI Inter-Agency Innovation Competition, Olayode Olasupo, said the initiative was aimed at driving collaboration among MDAs and strengthening Nigeria’s innovation ecosystem through home-grown solutions.
Olasupo, in a statement on Sunday, said the roadshow is part of efforts to sensitise federal civil servants on the competition, which carries a total cash prize of N140 million and is designed to promote innovative ideas capable of addressing Nigeria’s socio-economic challenges.
The roadshow train, the statement said, will kick off from the Old Federal Secretariat in Area 1 and proceed to the Federal Secretariat at the Central Business District, with major stops at MDAs within the vicinity. It explained that the exercise would create awareness on the objectives and benefits of the competition, while underscoring the role of innovation in improving public service delivery and supporting the Federal Government’s industrialisation agenda.
Olasupo described home-grown innovation as critical to Nigeria’s quest for industrial development, stressing the need to provide platforms for civil servants to contribute meaningfully to national growth.
Nigerians can now invest ₦2.5 million on premium domains and profit about ₦17-₦25 million. All earnings paid in US Dollars. Rather than wonder, click here to find out how it works.
