
Hit-and-run victim’s dad shows up at FCT police command
The FCT Police Command said it has identified the father of a 15-year-old boy, Abba Adamu, that was knocked down by a hit-and-run driver at the Apo Roundabout in Abuja.
In a statement, the command’s spokesperson, SP Adeh Josephine, said the victim’s father, Adamu Ibrahim, came forward and identified his son at the command’s headquarters on Monday.
She said the victim remained under medical care while efforts were ongoing to facilitate the safe and proper reunification of the child with his father in line with established procedures and medical advice.
She said the police command extended its appreciation to members of the public for their cooperation and useful information which greatly aided the identification of the victim’s parents.
She said the command reiterated the importance of collective vigilance and public support in safeguarding lives and enhancing crime prevention across the FCT.
