Nasarawa: LGA secretary sacked over social media posts
The Secretary to Keffi Local Government Council, Ibrahim Bala, has been sacked by the Executive Chairman, Idris Ahmed Damagani, PhD, over alleged unethical social media utterances and disrespect to constituted authority.
The termination was conveyed in a letter signed by the Director of Administration, Usman Zubairu Egya.
According to the letter, the decision followed a query issued to Bala, which he allegedly failed to respond to satisfactorily.
The letter cited threats against the executive chairman, unethical social media posts, and disrespect to elders and stakeholders as reasons for the termination.
“That your social media utterances are unethical, worrisome and capable of truncating peaceful coexistence in our LGA and our great APC party, both at the local and state levels.
“That your disrespect to constituted authority, elders and stakeholders is unbearable. Hence, you are hereby ceased, relinquished and terminated from the position of Secretary to Keffi LGC,” the letter stated.
