The Kebbi State Police Command has received 13 armoured motor vehicles and additional patrol trucks to strengthen security operations across the state.
The state Commissioner of Police, Bello Sani, on Monday, presented the vehicles to the state governor, Nasir Idris, after their deployment from the Force Headquarters.
Sani said the new vehicles would boost the command’s operational capacity, enhance patrol activities and improve response time to security threats in both urban and rural areas of the state.
According to him, the equipment would also help improve police presence in identified security flashpoints.
Receiving the vehicles, Idris commended the Inspector-General of Police and the Kebbi State Police Command for their commitment to protecting lives and property in the state.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s readiness to continue collaborating with the police and other security agencies to tackle criminal activities.
The police command assured residents that the vehicles would be strategically deployed to support ongoing security operations, urging members of the public to assist security agencies with timely and credible information.
The development is part of broader efforts by the Federal Government and the Nigeria Police Force to equip state commands with modern logistics to enhance policing and address emerging security challenges across the country.
