
Imo statesman hails Ohakim’s wife’s nomination as ambassador

Elder statesman, Chief John Enyogasi has expressed his congratulations to former Imo State Governor Ikedi Ohakim on the nomination of his wife, Chioma Ohakim, for an ambassadorial position by President Bola Tinubu.
Enyogasi, commended the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, in a press release for recommending the former governor’s wife for the ambassadorial position allocated to the state.
“This marks the first occasion where a former first lady of the state is granted a significant federal appointment. I commend Governor Hope Uzodimma for such a recommendation.
“It reflects the governor’s benevolent nature and generosity.
It also demonstrates the governor’s commitment to inclusively concerning both state and federal appointments,” he said.
Enyogasi expressed confidence that the nominee will fulfil expectations in any foreign country assigned to represent Nigeria.
He remarked that he was well-acquainted with the Ohakim family, noting their meticulousness in every task assigned to them in the past.
He expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for considering the appointment appropriate and urged the Senate to provide her with favorable consideration during the screening process.
