Done Deal: Antoine Semenyo set to complete €74.5m Man City move
Manchester City are on the verge of completing a massive €74.5 million (£65m) deal for Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo.
The Ghanaian international is scheduled to undergo a medical this Thursday, January 8.
The Citizens moved decisively to trigger a time-sensitive release clause in Semenyo’s contract, which is active only between January 1 and January 10.

Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola confirmed that Semenyo will feature in Wednesday’s Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur, though he admitted it is likely the player’s final appearance for the Cherries.
“Antoine will play against Spurs,” Iraola noted. “But we have to be realistic—with a clause like this being triggered by a club of City’s stature, it is difficult to keep him. He has been exceptional for us.”
The transfer comes as Manchester City grapple with a mounting defensive and selection crisis.
Semenyo has been outstanding for Bournemouth over the past 18 months and has registered 12 Premier League goal contributions this season, with only Erling Haaland and Igor Thiago recording more.
