The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Fire Service, supported by other emergency responders, arrived shortly afterward and were able to extinguish the fire before it spread to other sections of the premises.
FIRS reported that no casualties were recorded, although a number of offices on the impacted floor sustained damage. Initial findings suggest that the outbreak may have resulted from an electrical malfunction, but officials noted that investigations are still in progress.
The agency added that it is currently reassessing and improving its safety measures to reduce the risk of similar occurrences in the future.
FIRS also expressed appreciation to emergency responders and staff members for their swift actions, which ensured everyone’s safety and helped limit property loss.
