
PSC Praises Usman’s Contributions to Policing, Governance, Policy Reforms in Nigeria

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has lauded Hajiya Hadiza Bala Usman, Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination and Head of the Central Results Delivery Coordination Unit (CRDCU), for her remarkable service to the nation as she celebrates her 50th birthday.
Speaking at the sidelines of the Usman @50 Governance Colloquium, held at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, PSC Chairman, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd), highlighted Hajiya Usman’s exceptional contributions across policing, governance, and national policy reforms.
He noted the event offered an opportunity not only to celebrate her milestone but also to reflect on themes of leadership, accountability, results-based governance, and public service excellence.
A statement by the PSC’s Head of Protocol and Public Affairs, Torty Njoku Kalu, said the Chairman particularly commended Hajiya Usman for her pivotal role in advancing policy reforms, strengthening institutional frameworks for effective governance, and fostering improved coordination between public sector entities.
He also emphasised her support for initiatives that enhance the operational capacity and professionalism of the Nigeria Police Force.
DIG Argungu described Hajiya Usman’s career as a model of discipline, courage, and unwavering commitment to public service.
From her tenure as Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority to her current strategic advisory role at the highest levels of government, her leadership has significantly enhanced governance delivery, accountability, and institutional efficiency.
“Her tireless efforts in policy coordination and results delivery have not only transformed critical sectors but also inspired a new generation of public servants—especially women—to pursue excellence in nation-building,” the Chairman said.
He congratulated Hajiya Usman on reaching the milestone of 50 years, describing it as a fitting celebration for a life devoted to integrity, purposeful service, and national progress, while praying for continued wisdom, strength, good health, and greater impact in the years ahead.
