
NNPP inaugurates executives in Gombe
The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has inaugurated a new set of state executives in Gombe State following a consensus-based congress aimed at strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The congress, which drew delegates from the state’s 11 LGAs, was conducted through a consensus and affirmation process and was described by party officials as peaceful, transparent and well-organised.
Hon. Elder Ambrose Ismail Mairungu emerged as the new Gombe State chairman; with Yakubu Adamu Tela affirmed as deputy chairman. Abdullahi Ali Mohammed was elected secretary, while Hon. Amatiga Yila Naboth (ACG) assumed office as publicity secretary.
Other members of the executive are Musa Mohammed Gargajiga (youth leader), Hajiya Hauwa Mohammed (women leader) and Kabiru Mohammed Puma (organising secretary).
In his acceptance speech, Mairungu thanked party members for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to run an inclusive and disciplined administration focused on rebuilding party structures from the ward level upward.
