
Publishers seek N1b to fund project
The Nigerian Publishers Association (NPA) has said it will launch a N1b fund targeted towards the building of the association’s N1 billion ultra-modern headquarters.
The association’s president, Alhaji Lukman Dauda stated this during a press briefing while unveiling plans for the 2025 Annual Conference and 60th Anniversary.
He added that the contribution for the N1bn fund is expected to be raised among member firms and partners across the sector.
The President highlighted the significance of the diamond jubilee, noting that it provides an opportunity to honour the association’s founding leaders and celebrate six decades of impact in Nigeria’s publishing ecosystem.
He added that the keynote address will be delivered by writer and PAWA Secretary-General, Dr. Wale Okediran on the theme: “Publishing in Nigeria: 60 Years of Impact, Innovation and Inclusion.”
The event will feature prominent dignitaries including Deacon Solomon Adeleke, FCA (Chairman), Governor Seyi Makinde (Special Guest of Honour), and the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa a Special Guest.
Awards will also be presented to individuals and partner organisations who have contributed significantly to the growth of the publishing industry.
The two-day programme will conclude with the NPA Annual General Meeting on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Association’s headquarters.
