
4 abducted children rescued in Nasarawa
The Nasarawa State Police Command has rescued four children who were abducted on December 31, 2025, in Karu LGA.
The command said the children were rescued following a discreet and intelligence-led operation, according to a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, Ramhan Nansel.
The statement reads in part: “The children went missing on December 31, 2025, in Karu LGA, prompting the police to launch an investigation.
“Acting on credible intelligence, detectives from Nasarawa State Police Command and FCT Police Command traced the suspects’ hideout and recovered the children unhurt.”
The command explained that preliminary investigation revealed that the children were abducted by a 28-year-old man, Abraham Asoje, and 29-year-old Joy Bolaje.
The police said the rescued children had been reunited with their families and that efforts were ongoing to apprehend other suspects connected to the crime.
