Nigeria’s women’s national football team, the Super Falcons, will battle the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon in two high-profile international friendlies in Yaoundé as part of preparations for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The fixtures fall within the FIFA Women’s International Window of February 24 to March 7, 2026. The 10-time African champions will take on the Indomitable Lionesses at the Cameroonian capital on Saturday, February 28, before a second encounter on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

Both teams last met in a pre-WAFCON friendly ahead of the previous edition hosted by Morocco, where the Falcons secured a 2-0 victory at the MKO Abiola Sports Complex.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the 13th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will take place from March 17 to April 3 in Morocco.
All four semi-finalists at the tournament will qualify automatically for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup finals in Brazil.
The Super Falcons claimed their 10th Women’s AFCON title in Morocco last summer, defeating Tunisia, Botswana, Zambia, South Africa and the host nation en route to continental glory.
Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi, confirmed that all logistics have been finalised in collaboration with Cameroon’s football governing body, Fédération Camerounaise de Football (FECAFOOT).
“We have concluded everything that has to do with the two friendly matches, in conjunction with our counterpart body in Cameroon, FECAFOOT,” Sanusi said.
