Kaduna Police launch joint security operation against bandits, insurgents
The Kaduna State Police Command has launched a large-scale clearance operation across parts of the state in a renewed push to dislodge insurgents, bandits, and other criminal elements threatening public safety.
The command said the operation is being carried out in close synergy with the Nigerian Army, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna Vigilante Service (KADVS), as well as local vigilante groups and hunters.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday, the combined security forces are currently conducting coordinated raids within Makarfi, Hunkuyi and Ikara Local Government Areas, where criminals are believed to have established several hideouts.
The operation, the statement added, is strategically designed to flush out bandit enclaves, dismantle illegal camps, and restore lasting peace within communities affected by persistent security threats.
It also follows fresh marching orders issued by Kayode Egbetokun, Inspector-General of Police, IGP, directing all police commands nationwide to intensify efforts to eliminate criminal activities in their jurisdictions.
Rabiu Muhammad, Commissioner of Police in Kaduna State, said the clearance mission will be continuous, noting that security agencies are working in close coordination to ensure maximum impact.

He assured residents that the collaborative offensive will be sustained until all criminal elements are neutralised or forced out of the state completely.
He further urged communities to remain calm, cooperate with security operatives and provide timely information that could aid ongoing operations.
The command reiterated its commitment to safeguarding lives and property, assuring that the relative peace currently being enjoyed in many parts of the state will be fully consolidated.
