LGA Tour Day 3: Gov Fintiri Commissions Project in Yola North
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has reassured residents of Adamawa State of his administration’s unwavering commitment to sustained infrastructural development across the state.
The Governor gave the assurance on Friday, February 6, 2026, during his ongoing statewide local government tour at the Jimeta Football Stadium in Yola North Local Government Area.
As part of his tour of the state’s 21 local government areas, Governor Fintiri, accompanied by his Deputy, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, and other top government officials, visited Yola North Local Government Area.
The visit commenced with the commissioning of the newly constructed Yola North Local Government Secretariat, a project executed by the Chairman of the Council, Barrister Jibril Ibrahim Jimeta.
Thereafter, the Governor proceeded to the Jimeta Football Stadium, where he was received by a large crowd of stakeholders and supporters of his administration.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Fintiri said the achievements of his administration—through its policies, programmes, and projects—are visible across the state. He pledged that his government would continue to serve the people with dedication, fairness, and sincerity.
In his welcome address, the Chairman of Yola North Local Government Council and host of the event, Barrister Jibril Ibrahim Jimeta, who is also the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag bearer for the forthcoming June 13 local government elections, said that since the creation of Yola North Local Government Area in 1996, the area had not witnessed such significant development until the advent of Governor Fintiri’s administration.
