
2 remanded for allegedly stealing vehicle parts worth N2.1m
An Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday remanded two men, Sogo Egbebi and Husamotu Jubril, in a correctional centre for allegedly stealing vehicle parts valued at N 2.1 million.
Egbebi, 19, and Jubril, 30, whose addresses were not provided, pleaded guilty to a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
The Magistrate, Mr. O.A. Ogbe, ordered that the defendants be remanded in a correctional centre until March 5 for a review of the facts and sentencing.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp. Adegeshin Famiyiwa, told the court that the defendants committed the offences between August 2025 and January, 2026, at Sholaja Street, in the Itamaga area of Ikorodu, Lagos. (NAN)
The prosecutor alleged that the defendants and others at large stole 33 alternators valued at N1.5 million and 40 kick starters worth 594,000, belonging to the complainant, Mr. Jelili Saka.
He said the offences contravened Sections 287(7) and 412 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. (NAN)
