Three people were injured in a road accident that occurred in Lagos on Friday, the Federal Road Safety Corps has said.
In a statement by its Public Education Officer for Lagos Command, Elizabeth Jayeola, the FRSC said the crash involved two vehicles: a Lexus saloon car and a TVS Bajaj motorcycle.
“A total of five adult males were involved, while three persons sustained injuries. No fatality was recorded,” the statement read.
The FRSC disclosed that preliminary investigations revealed the crash was caused by one-way driving, which violated traffic regulations.
According to the statement, FRSC operatives promptly responded to the incident, rescuing the injured victims and conveying them to the New Nigerian Hospital for medical attention.
“The vehicles involved were also towed to the FRSC base. The Lagos Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde G. Hamzat, has appealed to all road users to strictly comply with traffic regulations, avoid risky driving behaviours, and prioritise safety at all times, especially during the festive period,” the statement added.
