For years, organisations have rewarded effort. Long hours. Full calendars. Relentless activity. If people were busy, leadership assumed progress was happening.

That assumption no longer holds.

As organisations move into 2026, a hard truth is becoming unavoidable: Effort without clarity is no longer admirable; it is expensive.
