Liverpool forward Mohammed Salah’s place in Liverpool’s travelling squad for Tuesday’s Champions League meeting with Inter is in doubt, with club officials holding internal discussions following the forward’s strong remarks earlier this week
According to Fabrizio Romano’s X post on Monday, “Mo Salah could be out of the Liverpool squad set to travel to Italy to face Inter on Tuesday.
“Internal discussions are taking place after Salah’s strong words, with a final verdict to follow today. Arne Slot will speak to the press later today.”
Liverpool boss Arne Slot is due to speak to the media later this afternoon, where he is expected to address the issue and provide clarity on Salah’s status.
So far, the Dutchman has remained tight-lipped as the club works to manage a delicate moment involving one of its most influential players.
Liverpool are scheduled to travel to Italy later today ahead of their matchup at San Siro, but questions remain over whether Salah will be on the plane.
PUNCH Online had reported that the Egyptian expressed frustration over his limited playing time, claiming that someone within the club wants him to take the blame for recent setbacks.
Former Liverpool midfielder, Danny Murphy, had also criticised Mohamed Salah’s decision to go public with his frustration after being left out of the side, warning that the forward’s comments risk disrupting the dressing room and piling pressure on manager, Arne Slot
