
3 remanded over conspiracy, theft
A Magistrate Court (No. 27) sitting in the Kano Municipal Local Government Area has ordered the remand of three individuals over allegations of conspiracy and the theft of construction materials.
The defendants—Aliyu Aminu, Hafizu Musa, and Ali Haruna—were arraigned by the state counsel, Barrister Maryam Halilu Dantiye, while the charges were read to them by the court registrar, Mohammed Tudu Wada.
The prosecution alleged that the accused conspired to steal rocks belonging to a construction company handling an ongoing drainage project at Lamido Crescent, GRA, Kano.
The defendants pleaded guilty to the offences.
Presiding Judge Abba Musa ordered that the accused be remanded in a correctional facility and adjourned the matter to February 20, for judgment.
