Adamawa Set for 44th Public Service Games as Inspection Team Gives Green Light
The Adamawa State Government has reaffirmed its readiness to host the 44th edition of the Public Service Games, scheduled to begin on December 8, 2025.
The National President of the Federal Civil Service Games Association (FECSGA), Comrade Aloku Amaebi, led a three-man delegation to inspect sports facilities in Yola and Numan.
He praised the state government for its commitment and level of preparedness ahead of the national sporting event, and expressed appreciation to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his support in bringing the Games to the state.
Amaebi confirmed that the inspection team found the venues suitable—and in some cases exceeding initial expectations—for hosting the tournament. He, however, recommended minor finishing touches on a few facilities to ensure optimum performance and comfort for athletes and officials.
Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) and Adamawa State Head of Civil Service, Pharm. Isa Ardo, also restated the state’s readiness to welcome delegates from across Nigeria. He emphasized that Adamawa is safe, peaceful, and hospitable, recalling that the state successfully hosted the NASEGA Games last year using the same facilities.
The annual Public Service Games bring together civil servants from across the country to participate in various sporting activities aimed at promoting physical fitness and enhancing productivity.
This year’s edition will feature 15 sporting events, including football, volleyball, handball, badminton, multiple board games, athletics, long jump, and more.
